Truck Bed (Ladder type) vs Roof Rack for Kayak Transport

Is there a bed type rack that can clamp around my tonneau cover rails? I realize that the tonneau could not be closed with this setup but I am looking for a quick bolt on system that I can use to haul a 13.5' kayak with my travel trailer in tow. Other option is to use a roof rack but I am thinking the bed rack would be more secure and less potential damage to the truck finish. Pics would be greatly appreciated from anybody that has a setup for same.

My truck is a super crew with 5.5' box.

I was looking for the same thing, but to haul my 17' canoe while towing my trailer and still being able to use my tonneau cover. I ended up building my own out of treated lumber. I'll see if I can find a pic of it on the truck, but here's a quick drawing I did :

Great design! For some reason I am missing the stake pockets on my truck - did you get that as an option on your truck?

Yake The stake pockets are there, just covered by the plastic. I cut holes in the plastic and bought tie downs to put in place and cover the holes when I don't have the rack on.

A ton of guys at my old workplace used these for ladder racks. they work excellent.
