Anyone who has a Turbosmart supersonic full mechanical BOV did you have to adjust the hardness or softness setting out of the box? About to install one on my 2013 tomorrow

Nah...it was plug and play. Though once I installed the new turbos and my tuner increase my psi I had to tighten it up a little...it was making noise all the damned time.

I went with the stiffest minus a turn and a half. The fitting is super tight so just lube it a bit and smack it down with rubber mallet. Also the dongle to fool the electronics wasn't the right one for my truck so I just cut the plug and soldered on an extra resistor i had from led swapping all my lights. Works fine

I installed it this morning it was set full hard it off the box so I backed it off a little bit not even a full turn truck seems to have a lot more power. It definitely builds boost faster time will tell if it fixed my underboost code I cleared the codes we shall see if they come back

That's odd...I didn't think the BOV had anything to do with building boost, but relieving it...unless it was getting stuck open for some reason, but if it were at the hardest setting, it still shouldn't affect the performance of your truck...unless your truck is MAF only, in which case you should be running recirc anyway and not VTA...

I had a hole in the diaphragm on the old BOV so I was leaking boost constantly almost same thing as being stuck open

The only thing is now when it opens it almost sounds like the turbos are releasing a few seconds apart I hear 2 blow offs I am going to change the wastegate solenoid tomorrow to see if it helps
