Perspective.

"The good Ole days" are something I can defend at one angle, and yet the standard of living available to modern man is another that I am in awe of.

My truck, whether it has corners cut or not, would be Science Fiction to my grandpa. (who lived to 99 but has been gone for 25)

He'd probably look at me like I lost my mind if I pointed out it was damped poorly from Ford. Lol

Absolutely! I learned to drive when vehicles were worn out before 100,000 miles, provided a big market for Ziebart, had chokes, bias ply tires, drum brakes. 4wd was rare and full time 4wd a curiosity. Do not even talk about handing and ride!
Perspective and expectations. KM

Yep, the good old days of manual locking hubs, manual steering, drum brakes, PTO winches and L78 tires. Fond memories of driving Toyota FJ40/55's. ;)
My first vehicle was a 78 FJ55 and I have had several Cruisers since. Last one was an 84 60.
