Water leaking under diver side dash

We are taking on a lot of rain in Houston this weekend and when I got in my 2015 tonight I felt water drip on my foot as it was on the brake pedal. It happened again a few minutes later when my foot was on the accelerator. Has anyone experienced this? If so, what did you do about it?

That's not good, not sure, being a 15, so new, I would take it into the dealership service department asap, don't want mold

My first guess is a drain problem with your sunroof as the tube runs inside the pillar. The second guess is an improperly installed windshield at the factory or in the field. I know you said the truck is new, but it might have been damaged in transport and the dealer replaced it. Take it back to the dealer and let them look at it. Hopefully they know something we don't and will fix it. Good luck.

diver side said it all, made to be wet

all joking aside see if there is a missing rubber grommet thru firewall. Being new dealership should be able to cover it under warranty

Now I'm questioning myself on whether it was really leaking or not...left it overnight with it raining like crazy and don't feel any water on the floor. I felt up underneath the dash where I thought I felt the water drop and its dry. When I got in the truck last night rain was blowing in pretty hard and I wonder if I just felt water that got blown in when I had the door open. Is there any way I can test this?

I am not sure on the 15' models, but on my 2011 there is a rubber grommet to the engine bay right near where the pedals mount to the firewall. Check to make sure it is installed properly. Mine wasn't and I froze my feet one winter morning. It would be hard for water to get in there while truck is parked though, Just one more thing to check.

Hi NightFury89,

I'd mention the leak to your dealership; they'll take a look and track down the source. How many miles are on your truck currently? I'll see what I can do to help out as well.

Just an update. Took it by the dealer and the service rep did not seem too concerned about it. He said it could condensate from the AC since it was only a few drops. I am going to keep an eye on it and if it leaks again then I will take it back in

Thanks for the update, NightFury89. If you head back in, send me a quick PM; I'll alert your regional customer service manager so they can ensure things go smoothly. When writing, please include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership.

I have a 2015 F-150 XLT SuperCrew that is also having this same problem. After a hard rain, a few drops of water will drop on my foot on the brake pedal when I first get in the truck. Even have a small puddle on my floormat sometimes. It is at my local dealership right now. They have had it for a week and cant replicate he leak.

I have a 2015 supercrew Fx4. On several occasions, after a heavy rain, I've noticed water on my ds floor mat. The second time I noticed this I caught a glimpse of the water falling from my handle on the a pillar. I immediately got out and located 2 cracks in the adhesive between the side of the cab and the cab, just behind the windshield. Went to dealership, had them look at it and get my info only to never get called back. Been leaking since 5k miles but two dealerships have given me the run around now. What to do?
