I have a 2017 F150 3.5L Ecoboost with Crew cab, full bed, Sport trim package, 10-speed and towing package. I bought it in September, 2017. It only has 18,700 miles on it.
I tow a BRZ track car on a Featherlite 14 foot trailer. Together it weights 4,000 pounds at most. I have a few more hundred pounds of gear and wheels I drag along.
It tows great and usually seems like I'm not towing anything...
I'm interested in a smaller, lighter truck. A 2024-2025 Ranger Raptor or Lariat are of the greatest interest.
What should I expect as far as towing my race car with a smaller engined Ranger?
Please excuse my ignorance, but my F150 has been my first truck and towing experience. The F150 is great, but I don't need its mind blowing performance or its size.
