Not only am I new to the ecoboost line of Ford trucks, I'm also a brand new Ford truck owner.

I've owned a coupled of Chevy trucks and my last truck was a Toyota Tundra. I had the Tundra for just a little over five years and was really happy with it. It had lots of power, towed well, and fuel mileage was decent. However I was looking for something that had a little more room in the back (I just had the double cab Tundra) and since Toyota hasn't done a refresh on the Tundra in a while I started looking at other brands. I've always been a fan of turbo vehicles so the idea of a twin turbo V6 in a truck was simply awesome!

Here's a pic of my last truck:

Two trucks ago- F-250 4X4 7.3 Diesel

Last Truck- 08 Silverado 1500 5.3

Went with the Ecoboost for many reasons but mainly the following:

1. Low-end flat torque curve similar to a diesel with the ride of a 1/2 ton
2. Large crew cab with a full size bed

Originally I was set on trading my Tundra in on a diesel F250 but when I really thought about it. 90% of the time is in-town driving and the thought of paying the extra $$ for diesel fuel and the "claimed" towing capabilities of the ecoboost with the max tow package had me sold. Not to mention the $15,000 in savings of the F150 compared to a fully loaded diesel F250.

Most recent was a 2001 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 5.9. Ran for 172,000 miles, many of which was with my Cuda on the flatbed going to the drags all over the eastern US. It was also my office during many business trips as a traveling rep and served as sleeping quarters, dining room and more for 9 years. Prior to that one was my first Ford, a F350 dually. It also pulled my flatbed but also a 24' race support headquarters for Auto Meter instruments for a season and a half. Sold it with just over 170,000. Started with a 56 Chevy, a 55 Chevy, 69 Chevy and a 78 Dodge D150 Utiline back when stepsides were all the rage! Been a truck driver for personal vehicle now since 1973.

My last truck was a 2004 F-350 Lariat Crew Cab 6.8L V/10. Loved the truck but, hated the mileage. I'm hoping my new 2013 F-150 XLT Super Crew Ecoo boost will pull my trailer and give me good mileage.

My last trucks was a 2007 & 2008 Nissan Titans. Amazing trucks over all. The 2007 I put on 235,000kms before I sold it. The best 1/2 ton I've ever had for off-road use, great power, excellent sound, gas milage was average in my mind. I would gladly buy a new one. I went with the Ecoboost for the power, and towing capabilities. When it was running the way it should it did very well and I was happy with it.

I had an 08 Fusion. 2.3 Liter 4, it was a great fuel efficient car that never gave me a bit of trouble, I made a couple of long trips with it, drove it in lots of snow, and it always cleaned up like brand new it was just a good solid car I really loved it and seriously recommend them if you choose to drive a car. I needed a good truck, and really could not afford both.

Traded in a 2005 F-150 and bought my 2012 Tuxedo Black Super Cab 4x4 Lariat as it was coming off the Car Carrier, it was actually going to be the Sales Manager's Demo but when I saw it I wanted it. It is fully loaded with Navagation Eco Boost which get about 18 Mpg on the Highway and around 16 in the City, never been happier with my truck and it was one of the best trucks I ever bought with 7700 miles at this time.

I have been a Ford Guy my whole life. First vehicle was a 1974 Cougar with a 351 Windsor and a C4transmission. My dad bought it brand new off the showroom floor with 7mi on the odometer. I still own it and have replaced the engine 3 times, absolutely love it. Second vehicle I owned was an 84 F250, drove it 10 years untill it got totaled when some Crackhead ramed into it while it was parked (unfortunately the crackhead walked away). Next vehicle was a 2006 Escape with all time four wheeldrive (remarkably one of the best 4x4 vehicles I have ever driven. I almost shed a tear when I traded it in for my newest truck which is a 2012 F150 FX4 with the EcoBoost engine. So far I love the new ride the MPG is actually better than my wifes 2010 Explorer. I love that I can drive my truck as either an automatic or in Manual. 2012-10-20_09-02-49_899.jpg
