Dealer told me it's 20% when I was buying.

truckwtint2.JPG New to site, but I had them match them on my previous 2010 F150 XLT and they said it was right around 20% as well, however I didn't think they were dark enough (I understand they're tint laws in different states), also from the inside the stock and aftermarket tint have a slightly different shade of color when just doing the fronts to match the back looking out from the inside. On my 2013 F150 Ecoboost I had them go over the back with another 5% to darken them up and then had them match the rest of the truck to that as well as a 5% strip across the windshield. Ill post a pic as soon as I can.

@FireMedic/Kc311: AWESOME idea!! any issues with tinting on top of the existing factory tint? Does anyone know if the factory tint is removable or if it is the same as most sunroof tint that is actually inside the glass?

I'm not sure if the factory tint is removable or not, I'd just have them go over it. When they did the first tint on my truck the guy ended up matching my fronts to the back and then made the backs darker which isn't what I had asked for so they had to remove it a few days later, but the stock tint was left on. Like KC311 said tint the whole truck, this will also take away the look of two different color appearances from the inside due to the two different styles of tint which I had on my 2010, this way it will be an exact match all the way around....good luck and post some pics, I'll get one up soon taken from the side.

I will definitely be tinting all the windows.. like you guys mentioned.. i don't want the look of two different styles of tints when i'm sitting in the vehicle. now the question is.. to get 15% all around (i had pinnacle 15 on my last vehicle all around and loved it) what percentage to tint the back and what to tint the front.. but i'm sure a reputable tint shop already knows the answer to that.. so i'm not worried. thanks again everyone!

FX4StripTint.JPG FX4Tint.JPG Here you go these are mine taken this evening to give you an idea of how dark I went, also included the strip which is 5% and about 9" down, legal generally is 6" so do what you want if you go that route, some people do the whole windshield at 50%, mine otherwise are 15% all the way around

I also have the eyebrow at 5%. I highly recommend the eye brow on the windshield. They can tint over the factory tint. I'd stay legal on the fronts as passing inspection is a pain in the a**, unless you know a hookup.

@FireMedic - Your tints look amazing! that is exactly the look i am going for! so 15% front and 5% eyebrow... but what tint % did you have to add to the rear windows to make 15% from the factory tint?

APD and AST would have a fit! I could get a ticket for what I have and it's almost 40%! My only backup would be a script from the eye doctor after I receive the ticket, as she wrote one two years in a row, but now doesn't give them out unless the patient is ticketed. People were copying them and sharing with friends.

Alaska is pretty strict on tint and illumination laws...

The factory tint is around 25% on the rear windows.

Got mine tinted a couple of days ago at 23% front side windows and went over the rears with 17%. I'm not sure what that actually makes them, but probably 10 to 15.

H'm. App isn't letting me upload. Let's try links.

The first two should be front/back before, the 3rd and 4th front/back after, and the 5th should be the rear after.

Here's what my rear view looks like from the inside. I can see my backup display in the sun now!

As was mentioned above, the factory rears are said to be 20%, fronts are legal in Illinois now so my tinter matched the fronts to the rears and then did the 80% ceramic tint on the windshield which is clear but reflects a lot of the heat and uv rays which is incredibly helpful with the black leather interior

The "eyebrow" is an absolute must in my book. Best $$ I've ever spent.....on all my vehicles!
