Its Royal Purple...they sponsor quite a bit in the racing world, but not sure I buy into the perceived quality.

I've been running Shell Rotella T6 5w-40.
Truck seems to love it.
Engine guts still looked brand new when I had my valve covers off two weeks ago.

Ive been running rotella T6 for years with my f250. Its the #1 recommended oil for 6.0 diesel because its so good with fuel dilution and you cant beat the price. Ive sent off 2 samples to blackstone over the years and the results were good both times just like all the guys said. Its a full syntehtic oil and wally world sells it for $21 for 4qt everyday.

Every one has an opinion on oil and how often they should change it. I believe that anyone should use a quality synthetic oil and a good quality filter. I use MC filters and full synthetic oil. I change it every 5000 miles no matter what. I live in Las Vegas and the the temps here hit over 100 often in the summer and its hard on an engine. Regular oil changes will make a difference in how your engine preforms and lasts. Read the owners manual and decide what works best for where you live. As with anything you have, proper maintenance will save you time and money. I love to read all this stuff and find out what works and what doesn't. So many people here have great knowledge and know what just plan and simply works.
