When driving my new truck at hwy. speeds I get an unusual sound whenever I'm going up hill or the engines under a load. It's a deep, bass, throbing, hum, almost like a harmonic. I actually thought it was coming from the radio sub woofer at first but I turned the radio off and it continued. When I get back on level road the sound goes away. Anybody know what this is?

does it do it on the level if you accel hard and put load on the rear ?

it sounds like the rear end gears are not meshed correctly, definitely a dealer issue.

actually i hate to tell you that a few people have reported similar issues with a clunking noise when shifting to reverse or out of park and the factory had missed putting a spacer in the pinion during assy.

anyway my money would be the rear as the first thing to look at.

Yes, it does do it when I accel. It's harder to hear because of the engine noise but it does do it. The sound seems to be coming from the front of the truck but I guess it could actually be from the rear.
