I have been thinking about installing a 170 degree stat before it gets up to a 100 here. I was doing some maintenance to my truck today and started looking for the thermostat housing and I couldn't see one. Where the heck is it. I'm hoping it's not under the throttle body.

If you can't find the thermostat, you may not be qualified to change it out.

Gee thanks for that very helpful bit of information. What's up with this sight this is the second time some nasty person has given me crap for asking a simple question. That's what these sight are for. By the way I found the thermostat in the bottom hose.

I wasn't being nasty. Rather, I thought you were being lazy, and thought maybe you'd do a little more searching yourself.
Pop the hood, follow the large coolant hose until you find this piece.

If you still can't find it, you're on your own.
