[Snox801]

I have been thinking about installing a 170 degree stat before it gets up to a 100 here. I was doing some maintenance to my truck today and started looking for the thermostat housing and I couldn't see one. Where the heck is it. I'm hoping it's not under the throttle body.

I'm not the smartest kid on the block correct me if I'm wrong but 170 seems a tad cool for the motor. I think these motors are designed to run hotter. Maybe someone with more motor knowledge will chime in on this.

Nope not at all these motors wanna be cooler. I run 160 stats in all my ecoboost stuff. Mainly cause that's what livernois told me to do. I've had 140,000 miles of hard work outta it. You do reach a point where to cold with be an issue but 160 is not it. Cooler the better until point of diminished returns.
