Usually have the dealer do my oil changes but i was busy and had jiffy lube do my oil change after the first time I didn't notice it was leaking till i went from AZ to ID, got underneath and they didn't change the plug to a new one, so I took it back and they put a new one in, over the weekend but on my way back from work, smelled oil and looked at it again to sew that even with the new plug it is still leaking... causes and fixes? Plastic is warped, and gasket isn't sitting right? Now pushing 92k on it

Did they install an actual Motorcraft plug, or an off-brand? Motorcraft plugs are the only ones I've found to be reliable. Also, did they seat it correctly (as in not overtightening, breaking the plastic tabs)? As you have 92K on the truck and this is a new issue, I would doubt warped plastic and look more towards the recent job done.

The first time I drove back I didn't inspect it until after it leaked oil and it had the old Motorcraft plug still in it from when i took it to the dealer so I'm guessing the old Motorcraft started leaking, when I took it back they put a new off brand in it and it continues to leak...

Look at a UPR oil drain valve, I have one on my truck. Works awesome and it runs two o rings. Never had any leakage.

I have a metal pan on my truck but I'll second the UPR drain valve recommendation. I run one on my Exploder and like it a lot.

Darn, I just ordered a Ronin Factory drain valve.
I'd suspect the Ronin to be a well-made piece. It does however install just like the OE utilizing only one O-Ring.

The downside to the Ronin that I can see is that you need to have a separate piece to use it. Then you have to decide where you want to store that (perhaps oily) piece between oil changes. The UPR is a unitized piece just sitting there, you have everything you need anytime you want it.

Went to a UPR plug this year dut the plastic plug on my 2017 2.7 was used since delivery. About the only failure point on it is the O-ring, it can not be over tightened without using a wrench and it is meant to be used by hand. The Ronin also looks like a sound replacement. KM
