Power wire, possibly for somebody's aftermarket audio equipment.

Side note, the warnings I got just went away and the blinkers started working. Fingers crossed!!

 

It's for an aftermarket stereo amplifier. It looks like they took apart the fuse assembly just down stream from it too.

Looks like a pretty questionable install. Also, I'd be concerned about that battery... unless there's a good reason why the top of the battery is wet, it's starting to fail.

 

Check out the fuse on your battery terminal. Also this thread.

Same stuff with the blinkers and all that. You can see where someone soldered mine. Eventually it crapped out.

 

Power cable to an aftermarket amplifier. Might wanna check behind the rear seats for shoddy wiring/issues.

 

Thanks for the replies. I'm working on the truck this weekend. I'll trace back that cable and go over what I have to deal with. I'm also going to get a new battery for the winter, new tires, etc.

Mikedick77, I checked out the fuse area and mine looks solid. I cannot believe someone would solder a blown fuse like that! WTF!

FWIW, I'm loving my truck! Yeah, there's issues here and there but nothing like the Dodges my wife is loyal to. Pick your battles I guess.
