Also found these Camburg 1.5 uppers for cheap! Will be re powder coating and putting in new uniballs of course. The same guy also had an eaton true trac, so will be replacing the elocker eventually too!

Well been pretty quiet for a bit but the trucks been going through changes. It was a pretty truck before but it had to get worse before it got better again. Maybe you can get a laugh at how ugly it’s been looking lately as it goes through the phases of swap!

I guarantee it’s going to look as good or better than before when I’m all done though!!

Looking funny with stock body panels and half a gen2 Raptor bumper
Image

Arguably as ugly as it will ever get - front flares only to keep the paint safe. It’s never looked this bad haha.
Image

How it’s sitting today atleast with the whole bumper back on, Bora 2.5” rear spacers and all the flares

It will probably get worse before it gets better again as I put the black raptor fenders and front bumper cover on, til they are painted in the summer.

I plan to keep the hood and grille after all as I think they’ll look better than the raptor options, I plan to fill and sand the raptor fenders to sit flush with the f150 hood!

OK. So where did you stack those white oem limited wheels? 😁
Haha oh they’re stacked in the garage currently, but I’ll be selling them to get a set of 17’s I can use for off-roading and winter. Don’t wanna subject the Shelby’s to that!

Well it’s been a bit since I’ve been on here for any updates! Made a bit of progress on the truck, not as much as I’d like though!

Was able to find a Raptor Grille by chance on marketplace in the US. Very difficult to find but allowed me to get the hood on finally!
Image

Also found some freshly re done gen1 raptor side steps to get rid of the constantly failing power boards I had before! The guy also had a gen1 skid plate which was great.
Image

replaced the upper bumper valence with this one that came with my Gen1 bumper. It’s the wrong white but was in way better condition than the black one!
Image

After watching the price go up on this stupid piece of plastic all summer I finally just bought it from a dealer to have all the front end pieces on.
Image

Drove 6hrs for some cheap Gen2 wheels to use as winters and whenever I actually end up tryna drive off-road! Can’t wreck the Shelby’s!

Scored this very rare discontinued Ford Performance light bar. Looking forward to getting 4x 7” round lights on there!
Image

Changed up where my gauges sit thanks to these 3D printed gauge mounts off Etsy. Picked up another ethanol sensor since I plan to run ethanol again in the future too!
Image

Finally found the last body piece for the swap, an entire Raptor box. Unfortunately the guy sold the flares to someone else, so I’m not quite there yet…
Image

Only had to do about a 16hr Round trip road trip to get the box, upon arrival I realized I really should have measured.. box didn’t fit within the trailer so had to get creative lol. Either way we got it home!
Image

Took the ugly flares off the box and realized I messed up hard. Trying to stop rock chips with flares resulted in them rubbing through the paint anyway! One more thing to fix…

Found some small mirrors at the wrecker for cheap, put them on to see if I’d like them. I think they suite the truck better so out with the Tow mirrors!
Image

Learned the hard way that the telescopic button in the cab, when hooked up to normal mirrors will send power to the heater in the drivers side mirror. Like a smart guy I held it down and it delaminated the drivers side mirror..
So new mirror lens and of course lights for the mirror because the orange just doesn’t look right! Cool having puddle lights now as well!

Well I got the clear signals in, smoked rear signals and brighter puddle lights! Back to looking how it should with no colours on the outside haha..

however, since I came from the 13+ OEM tow mirrors it appears the power that used to keep the marker light on when the truck was running now keeps the puddles lights on the entire time the truck is running… bonus points if anyone knows what I need to change in forscan to turn that off?

Sequential turn signal looks nice, and of course when it’s off the lens is just black/smoked unlike the old oranges ones too.
