Something a little more exciting show up today, Raptor rear shocks, now to get the cleaned up so that @Blown F-150 and I can rebuild them!

Just a little comparison to the belltech shocks I had in there... a tad more travel now and the shocks are a touch thicker too 😅.

If the aluminum or stainless for that matter isn’t coated, a little #0000 steel wool and metal polish will make it shine. Just polish with the grain. That said, my gut tells me ford would coat/anodize those shocks particularly since it appears the logo is painted. It also appears to actually be rust on the reservoir, aluminum won’t rust, it corrodes but usually shows white. Some stainless steels will show rust or browning but that really looks like rust.

From my little knowledge it seems like bare polished aluminum with fox stickers overtop, a lot of the dirt looks to be caught underneath edges of the stickers. I’ll try and figure that out and then get some aluminum polish!

So that is a sticker?

Yeah that would be great, put a little heat from a hair dryer on the stickers, they should come off.

Well I learned my drivers side speaker was dead - producing no sound at all. So I picked up this set of Kenwoods to replace them!

I’m not big into sound systems so I just got something that fit the budget, and thanks to a local F150 enthusiast who works at one of our performance shops I got an even better deal!

Those are great speakers.
Are you sure the stock is bad ? Would be rare for the stock speaker to just 'go bad'.
I’m not sure I mean I read on some pages that they go now and again.
At the same time it’s still back of my mind that I just got new speakers and will still need to fix an issue!

Received the last pieces of the puzzle today, now have new decals for the rear shocks, 4 sets of rebuild kits for front and rear shocks, as well as shraeder valves to install into the raptor rear shocks!
Hopefully will get the chance to start on it next week!
