Hi there, new to the forum (just introduced myself in the intro forum).
My truck was at the dealership and it turns out I have a coolant leak at both turbos and some oil leaks at the vacuum pump and timing cover. The dealership wants an arm and a leg to do the work and a buddy and I are mechanically inclined so we are going to tackle all the work ourselves.
My truck has 130K on it so while I’m replacing the seals, I plan to replace also the turbos, gaskets, bolts and exhaust manifolds.
I’ve been searching the forums but can’t find a good list of the parts I need to order to ensure I dont miss anything while I have it apart.

My Ask: Is there a good list of the gaskets, seals and part numbers I need to ensure I’m able to replace all the potential leak points and failure points?
Lastly, I was looking at the BP manifolds but it seems the updated OE version may have addressed the failure point. Is that accurate and if so, what is the updated part #?

Many thanks!

You can just order it at the parts counter at the stealership, they should show you an exploded view of the parts.

For just the driver's side:
You're going to NEED y pipe gasket, manifold gasket, oil supply line gasket (these are all metal/ one time use). Also, oil/filter, 3+/- gallons of antifreeze premix.

If it were me, four new fittings (make sure they have the clips in them, don't reuse the old ones)and two coolant lines (the block fitting is a different size than the other three). New studs and nuts (x2). I believe the passenger side is similar, as far as quantity of hardware.

The manifold/turbo bolts SHOULD be fine, but feel free to replace them if you want (x3).

As for manifolds, someone who's done it will probably be along with some more info.

It's a fun job. You're gonna love it! I wasn't able to remove the studs on the exhaust side of it so when I turned in the turbocharger core I had to order a new cat adapter (the donut-shaped part), new studs, nuts, and had to to make new spacers out of some 3/4" heavy wall tubing.

Thanks for the replies! I placed my order today so I can hopefully get this process going in the next week or two.
Below is the list of what I purchased. I’ll likely need to return a few items but I wanted to ensure I had every tube/gasket/common failure point covered since I have a friend helping me and I dont want to waste time once we dig in. Anything I’m missing that I should get ahold of before I get started? Note I also have a leaking vacuum pump and need to replace my rear brakes so those were intentional 😎

This thread has been made a sticky.

@Los - I'll send you a PM (since you can't yet :)) asking for your address. I'll send you a couple of our F150Ecoboost.net decals as a small token of appreciation.

Cool thanks @Boatwaco!

I would like to clarify a part that I came across in some of the other turbo replacement threads. In the attached pic, Ford parts says this doesn’t fit my 2014… did this part change over for 2014 to one I already have or do I need to source it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

The part I can't figure out is, what's the COPPER WASHER for?. The 2011-12 kits all include the 3 bolt exhaust manifold gasket, the paper replacement gasket for the oil cooler lines on the bottom, and 2 of those copper crush washer-style pieces. I called 2 turbo suppliers. One didn't know, the other didn't call back.

Thats the oil line, pressure side, coming off the front nearer to the oil pump. View attachment 193895
I ordered the tube and the filter (I couldn’t tell if the filter came included). Does the washer/gasket typically come with it? If not I gotta find the part number for the 2014 since parts online said it didn’t fit mine.

The 2012 3.5 turbo oil line is connected by a torx bolt, but on the P-side it slides into a ROUND threaded fitting (at the front if the block), not a regular HEX HEAD fitting like they used on the D-side (in the photo). View attachment 193894
Both sides have a filter… the originals (on my 2011) were round, had to pull the oil line, remove with a large allen. If I recall correctly, one or both of the new ones were hex head… I don’t remember those copper washers. Doesn’t mean I didn’t handle rjem though. I did manifolds, turbos and timing all in one shot. The parts were many! Spread out they covered the floor of my office

Worth noting, Full Race Inconel kit. Same price and much better hardware that won’t stretch :
