Hello,

I'm new to the forum. I purchased my 2015 Ford F150 3.5L with roughly 50k miles on it. I now have 114K. Truck has been good to me. Haven't had to spend a dime on it other than general maintenance until recently.

Two weeks ago, on my way into work going up a slight hill the truck falls on its face. Throws every light on the dash on.
Barely can keep it running. Pull over. turn it off. Let it sit a minute. Fire it back up. Starts kind of rough but once it was running it was acting normal. No engine lights on the dash once restarting. I call up my local ford dealer. Make an appointment. Truck ran fine for another three days. The day I brought it in for an appointment it did the same thing on the same hill. Cycle power and I'm off again. Bring it in and they said I had the following codes.
P2112: Throttle actuator stuck closed.
P0300: Random Misfire Detected
P0304: Cylinder 4 misfire detected.
P0306: Cylinder 6 misfire detected.

They recommended a tune up, spark plugs, coil boots, and throttle body replacement.
I did it all. The guy on the phone told me that he didn't see a need to change the coil packs. Truck ran fine for two weeks until yesterday. check engine light came on without any other issues. Just appeared. I took it to my local auto parts store and scanned it. This time I got:
P0430: Catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 2) DTC severity 2 of 3. Repair immediately if drivability issues.
P0300: Random Misfire Detected
P0304: Cylinder 4 misfire detected.
P0306: Cylinder 6 misfire detected.

So, this morning I drive into my shop. Engine light still on. Wasn't running great. As I'm driving down the road I hear this weird noise coming from the area around the gas pedal. Sounds like fuzzy noise inside the cab. Window down its loud maybe grinding. Once I let off the gas it goes away. That kept coming and going. I go inside my shop clear room to bring my truck in. Go back out, fire it up to pull it in and the engine light is gone. I said screw it and replace the two o2 sensos on bank 2 (drivers side) anyways. Pull it out. Running well. Drive about 20 minutes home and the light comes back on. Turn it back around and head to my near auto parts store again. All the same codes as before: P0430, P0300, P0304, P0306.

So, before I call the dealer on Monday to bring it back. Any information someone might have to send my way? Similar issues and or fixes.

Thank you in advance!

Thanks for the reply Snakebitten. My apologies on the incorrect thread location. I myself did not replace the throttle body. The Ford dealer did that round of work. The only work I did was replace the two o2 sensors on bank 2 side this morning. The o2 sensors were not OEM. One was a Bosch and the other a Denso. Both from O'Reilly. Thats what they had so I went for it.

They did not replace the coils. Just replaced the coil boots. He mentioned to me when picking up the vehicle that the coils were supposedly still good and did not need replacing.

I do not have Forscan. Or a scanner for that matter. I was stopping by O'Rielly's and napa to use there's. Which will make it difficult to troubleshoot on my own i suppose. Using your swap method. I suppose I could swap the coil on cylinder 4 and 6 to something else. 1 and 3 let's say. Then go buy a scanner or use there's again. See if the error code changes to the other cylinder misfire code.
