As the title says, I have a 2016 2.7 with 5500 miles on it. I started noticing a rough idle around 4500 miles. Thought it might just be some bad gas. Filled up several times since then at different gas stations. Rough idle still persists. Changed oil at 5400 miles and the rough idle seemed to get slightly worse. It will be a 30 to 50 rpm drop, and sometimes more. Definitely noticeable from inside the cab. I don't have any lights on the dash. I have a Bluetooth ODB scanner and it's not showing anything although I don't know how reliable those are. I don't know what it could be, or if there's anything I should try before taking it in to the dealership? It definitely does not feel right though.

Greetings,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but, you need to read this TSB that came out in May. Check your build date off your window sticker to the ones listed. Rough Idle is one of the symptoms. Im attaching it as a pdf here for you to check out. Hope its not any of this, but if it is, get the free fix asap. View attachment TSB 17-2077.pdf

My build date is 10-16... the wording is slightly confusing. Is rough idle alone an indication, or does it need some combination of the listed symptoms?

Right now I have a rough idle with none of the other symptoms listed

The updated TSB covers rough idle and the issue has been expanded to trucks built between 4-1-17 to 1-1-18, my whole engine eventually failed and it took 7 weeks to have it fixed, I also needed new cam phasers, mine were stuck and that caused rough idle at start up..

I know this is an old thread, but my 2016 2.7 has been exhibiting rough idle for a while. I've got 50k on it now and just recently, for about a week, I had blue/white smoke every time I started it. Earlier in the summer, it quit on me a couple of times as I pulled to a stop or at a gas station--wouldn't run at idle at all. Took it to the dealer in July and they kept it for 3 days, "running tests". Claimed they even got a Ford factory tech on the line with them. They could feel the rough idle, but could not isolate the problem. Not one time did they mention the TSB. Now, however, it's not blowing smoke on start-up and doesn't appear to be burning any oil. I have Ford ESP on it and don't know whether to wait it out or take it in with the tsb in hand.......
