Disappointed in 2016 3.5 Ecoboost

Wondering if anyone else has been completely let down and disappointed by a second generation 3.5L ecoboost (2016) that was pampered its entire existence like mine?
Oil Changes every 3,000 to 5,000 miles with either Castrol Edge or Amsoil XL (yes, high quality filters were used...not the $5.00 specials from Walmart)
Used primarily as a "grocery getter" by my wife (it was my wife's car)...only pulled a small 18-ft runabout less than 500 miles per summer for the past 6 Summers - otherwise no towing.
I'd get on it a tiny bit every couple months on the freeway just to make sure the Boost was actually "BOOSTING" - and to see if it was really putting out the advertised 385 HP.
Never, ever pampered a truck like this one over the past 50 years. I'm a Chevy man, and a Farmer. Started with a '67 C20 in Highschool followed by a '78 C10, an '89 K2500, a '94 Suburban 2500, '05 Suburban 2500, '08 AWD Chevy Express 1500 (went Over 200K miles on EVERY ONE of them, and most are still running...375K on the '67 C20 and 327K on the '89 K2500...and then on the recommendation of a very good friend - was talked into tying an "ECOBOOST" for my next truck. "It'll change your life!" he said. Well, it has. At 96,000 pampered miles, it is now basically a very nice looking Boat Anchor pulled to a corner of one of my sheds, while I continue to do the WORK I need to do with my old Chevrolets, all of which have well over 200,000 miles on them and which have not been Pampered in the least.
Are these Ecoboosts really that fragile? Is this "planned Obsolescence?" Did FORD design these engines to fail around 100K miles? This is absolutely ridiculous.

I've never been so disappointed in a Truck, EVER. Sure, when it ran, it was nice...but there is no replacement for RELIABILITY where I live, and this thing has proven to be the least reliable vehicle of the eight currently in my stable - not to mention, the least reliable vehicle I have owned in the past 50 years - even though it is much newer, with less than half the miles I have an any of my other trucks.

For $1,000 less than the amount of money the local Ford Dealer has told me it will take to get this thing running correctly, I have identified a very nice 2003 3/4 Ton Suburban with no rust and 158K miles that I am buying tomorrow...this almost 20 year old Chevrolet will replace the F-150 as my primary "Daily Driver" vehicle.

My Father always told me to stay away from FORDs...He was born in the early 1920's, and never bough another FORD after numerous problems he encounter with one he had purchased in the 1950's. I made the mistake of not adhering to his advice.

Has anyone else had problems with a very well maintained pampered ECOBOOST? Just curious whether I was unlucky enough to have purchased a lemon?
