Downpipe install

Tomorrow morning I'm installing a solo catless downpipe. I can not find anything on torque specs at the turbos. Is everyone just evenly tightening the crap out of them or what?

Just snug them up, and tighten, if needed. If you over tighten them, you'll drive the studs in further damaging the gasket behind the flange. Those studs are a royal PITA to remove, if the gasket goes.

Will you get an exhaust leak if this happens?

Yup, and no cats.

It just signs out to the Police when you stomp on it.

If you still have the factory resonator, have that removed and you'll hear the turbo whistle (with rear window rolled down) even with the stock muffler.

A flow-through muffler will increase it further. But it may be loud in WOT.

Yea you need some sort of exhaust if you want those turbos to sing...

They're probably fine unless you have an idiot at a dealership use an impact gun on the nuts. They actually stripped one nut on. A map torch, two nuts, and a lock washer finally took the studs out.

Which solo muffler did you go with? Seems there are 3 different ones. I don't want drone at all and I still want to be able to carry on a conversation on the highway. I don't like loud like I used too. Getting old I guess
