I did the battery reset and it was better for a short time. It has slowly went back to it's hard shift ways. I plan on getting a tuner, but I hope it is just software related and not mechanical.

 

Mine has been doing this occasionally also. Also hard 1-2 shifts and 3-2 shifts. Even more so when engine is cold. Got 47 k on a 2011 xlt with nothing replaced as far as transmission and driveline. Ever since I had tsb for gas in oil it has gotten worse. I hope it can be fixed with a pcm reflash.

 

They should be able to reflash your pcm and resolve this issue. Or obviously, which you probably know, you can get a tune and they can customize your shifting however you like. Take it to your dealer and they can flash you also.

 

Mines done this since almost new except its gears 2-3-4-5. Several others have issues like this as well. Dealer either does a tsb or a reflash
