Start whining to service manager asap.

Dropped my F150 off at dealer on 5/8/17. Picked it up from them on 5/24/17. Still rattles when I cold start it. Gonna let them replace all the parts again and I'm going to recommend they look at rbrown's parts list.

Is the chain actually listed in this order?

it does say in the notes, but I dont see it listed
My dealership isn't the most competent in the service dept so they probably didn't. Already had a few other issues (if idling in parking lots there is occasionally a large jerk/jolt when shifting from 1st to 2nd). I've taken it in before and they couldn't duplicate but looks like they experienced it this time as they added a note. Sunroof broke & stuck open which was $850 3rd party to fix. Rear window broke open and couldn't close. Now this. Not to mention that I'm getting 15.0 mpg on my ecoboost while the loaner ecoboost I got pulled just over 19.

Wishing I bought the extended warranty as the various cosmetic issues that have been fixed out of pocket would have covered the cost.

DW is less than thrilled.

Here's one sorry ecoboost engine being taken apart for timing chain....for anyone wondering how this gets done. Do apologize if it was posted / shared before.... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_btC1OjjNBA

All I can say is wow. I am glad I'm not a mechanic. I thought repairing copiers was a lot of work!

Yeah no kidding but I think it's easier then it looks. Sure there's a lot of bolts and torque specs and what not but removing the cab? Is that bit extreme maybe?

Mines going into the dealer this month for this to hopefully be covered under extended warranty

Yeah that ones a bit much. I'm going to go over my warranty papers today again. I do it every few weeks to keep in my memory of what's covered and what's not. ?

Ok so my truck is going in on Tuesday for TSB 16-0027 or at least what I'll be suggesting to them with my couple phone videos of cold starts. I think 16-0027 is the newest TSB related to this. Anyone else got any suggestions on what to mention to the service manager? Maybe stuff they learned by taking their truck in. That would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Btw those who had this done under warranty, how long did it take to drop truck off and pick it up after completion of service?

What you tell them? Did you give them a list of parts or tsb? I know Rbrown has a list additionally to what Ford replaces. Sorry for asking just want to be set when I go in

No I was one of the first to have it done way back in 2015 when they finally released the first Tsbs not for the chain but for the whole phaser issue. I took a few weeks of videos of the sound, dropped my truck off and left it. Told them to leave it overnight and start it up in the morn with the service manager and mechanic listening for it.

What TSB did you do? I hope my dealership is that obedient lol but they did a good job on that braking recall lol fast and without questions plus inspection.
