Sure here it is... other then timing chain tensioner kit, all is the same in terms of parts, oil, etc...

fuel pump gasket and bolt, not sure if that's internal stuff related to fuel or something else being done.

I notice they list the parts under a kit. I just want to note, Ford parts, including dealerships, were being given the incorrect timing chain tensioners and tensioner arm. It took me about 3 weeks, but my parts guy put me in touch with someone who made the correction after sending several photos and emails with engineering showing the difference in the part number ford said was the latest primary tensioner. It is important to make certain that the tensioner, and the tensioner arm (the black guide which the ratcheting pin on the tensioner pushes against) is the proper part and the proper combination of parts. I have a feeling a lot of the people with the immediate rattle after their new repair, were subject to a parts number mistake. Sounds silly but I have the information here and it is confirmed.

I can post tomorrow the two numbers good and bad for the tensioner and the arm, as well as the proper parts that are the latest update. They are confirmed primary tensioner and primary chain tensioner arm.

Cheers [emoji482]

Thanks rbrown. I'll confirm with them as it seems my parts are coming in one by one lol for the job. That's said, my dealerr decided to do both TSBs, you think that is good, as in better for me because more newer parts?

So the truck is in, will be done tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how she's running and if the sound comes back in the next day or so. My MPGs fell quite a bit from 18 down to like 14 and below. Even with a tune, I wasn't able to go past 15, even without heavy foot. So it might of been getting worse.

Btw, RBrown ... the shop manager said he compared the photos and part numbers in the photos and the new TSB with the tensioner, does seem like the correct one is going in from your photos. Thank you for sending those.

Ok so got a call, my truck is ready and she got new parts in her, new oil, new coolant, they even refilled the refrigerant? ?

Anyways and she got a free wash. To be honest, I can't wait to get it back. They gave me a loner for the two days, and it's a 2017 F150 base model. Yup, base as base as they get. I'm sorry but I got to vent. It's nice with that fresh new car smell, but that's about it. I don't know why but the interior just doesn't feel right to me in this truck, 2011-2015, is better. Also, v6, they gave me v6 with nothing else. No turbos, no vroom vroom... plain v6. She screams from every stop and usually my body goes forward faster then the truck, since I'm use to getting my rear planted into the seat when I floor it, not the other way with me almost smashing my face into the windshield at the first stop I made and flooring it. I went but the truck lagged behind. Lol...

Ok vent over, its new truck, new smell, feels new, looks new ... that's all it has going for it in my books. I'm sure it's because it's base model with nothing ? not very impressed and specially since the service manager kept saying I should look at the new.ones, maybe I can trade my 11 in.

No thank you! I love my 11 even more now. Thanks Ford ?

That's the same motor as the 3.5l non turbo or the new 3.7l. Same motors small difference like DI, bore size, etc.. but the 2017 3.5 non turbo is the gen 1 but 3.5l

Well thank you for turbos or else I would be trading it in [emoji12]

That said, hopefully I get a list of things they put in to compare.

I got mine back yesterday for codes P054A and P054C. They told me that the codes are from all the work that has been done on the timing (They had to open up the motor 3 times). I was told they would have to clear themselves since they are permanent codes and that the computer has to relearn the truck.

Hmmm... that's interesting, I got mine done and received back yesterday. No codes for me, not yet. She's already tuned back haha. However I'm still getting the boost dump and more detonation going on with the tune. Anyone got any ideas? Gapped plugs recently at .28 and not to hijack for not related.

Those codes are not "normal" or are not suppose to be there. That is not good. I take it they never changed your VCT solenoids or cmp sensors?

Here you go for the diagnosis. But it's not good and you need to clear the codes on your sct device if you have one, and do a profile correction procedure. It will have prompts to follow and is critical. I think sct calls it crank relearn or something like that. It syncs the cam shafts and the crank, and relearns their relative positions for the ecu to properly operate you variable cam timing.

Here are the codes, never had one of these thrown even on the weirdest of builds or rebuilds

Dauuuum, + 12 degrees on the intake cams holy crap. Your lucky you didn't wack a valve. 6 deg is when you throw a code of it happens more than a few times but wow that's easily the worst I've ever seen the intake cam go positive
Yeah I waited maybe too long but even with the +12 degrees I had no codes.

Anything else you think I should do now since it's all changed and new?

I'm thinking I might give up on tuning it. I tuned it right after getting it back but with the pins of detonation I might just stay away.

Pull your oil and change it quickly. 100% run a tune just give it a few days before hand. You shouldn't be knocking at all. This should have no effect on that, so keep an eye on it

They did change the oil tho.... I know you said they don't any more per TSB right? But they did in mine.

So even though they changed the oil and filter you suggest dumping it and putting new in?

Btw I already tuned it.... bad idea???

Your fine tuning it. Won't hurt it, and I just like changing the oil quickly after work is done like that. You don't really know how clean the shop was or how much care was taken. So pull the oil and just get some new oil and filter running in there
