the guy i talked to said he could change the speedo for me for like $50. Still didn't think the look of the 33" tire was worth the extra $50 for the speedo correction and the extra $40 or so per tire for the bigger size. You could get the stock size tires and an intake system or something else for same price as 33" tires.

The Dura-Trac's look good if you're going off road more... Personally, I don't, so I'd lean toward the Silent Armors, which still hold the Winter emblem rating.

Im in the same boat looking for more of a road then trail. I just traded my left kidney for the Adventure with Kevlar. I hope they are as good as advertised.

from all the research i've done on tires, and its been alot of hours, Hankook ATM, or cooper AT3 are the tires to beat
Are the cooper AT3 snow flake rated? I definitely don't like the look of the Cooper AT3 as much as the duratracs, the sidewall on the AT3 just looks kinda plain and boring to me.

Have people noticed a hit on fuel economy with the DuraTracs (assuming that you replaced with the factory size, not an oversize)?

I run the DuraTracs on my ecoboost. I like them. Look solid not crazy loud and no traction problems after almost 20,000 miles. Can't answer about size my truck is leveled so i ran close as i could to 35s. Discount tire is where I've gotten all my tires for several years now...always running great deals and with their credit card 18 months no interest.

they're in the same price range as all the good tires here in edmonton. I've noticed a lot of advertising for cheaper tires, probably chinese, but very few reviews, and i don't know anyone who's bought them.

I pulled the trigger on the DuraTracs today, in factory 275 55R20 size, after noticing that one of the sidewalls in the original Pirellis was compromised (I have a road trip tomorrow). They shure look purty.

It almost seems like you can feel the tread lugs hitting the road as the tire rotates: bumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpittybumpitty [...].

I had the installer fill them to 47 psi; he used unicorn farts and gave me those green N2 valve stem caps to prove it.

I want to go drive on some not-pavement.

I have an appointment at 8 tomorrow. 275-70-R18. I hate buying tires, but am very excited. I get to go off-pavement on Thursday (to whatever degree a 2x4 can.)

Remember to insist on unicorn farts.

So I took a longish trip today (to Pemberton and back). I inflated the tires to 47 psi before I left. They feel slightly squishy and bouncy on the highway, just not very rigid. I will up them to 50 and see what that does.

However, they are amazingly quiet for such an aggressive tread, the traction seemed fine (once you get over that slightly loose side-to-side motion feeling) and they look awesome on the truck.

Stay tuned.

And are you happy?
