Finally picked up a 2014 XLT Ecoboost last night! I've been working on a deal with the local internet salesman for over two months and just couldn't take it anymore. 302a, Max Tow, 3.73eloc, tailgate step (lol). I was really digging the adobe interior but it's pretty hard to find here locally - everything is grey interior and either silver/black/white exterior. Too bland for me. Finally found one in Kodiak Brown and I was a little hesitant at first but now I'm really liking the way it looks in the sun. The pic below is from last night when I left the lot, so it looks black.

I'll never walk into a dealer blind again - working via email is way better than getting cornered at the store. We still working on it a little more but the price was already below invoice when I showed up.

It's got some scratches they are going to try to remove from the clear coat and then they are putting in a spray in liner sometime this week.

My Tacoma was getting too small with the kids and can't tow what we're getting next. :)

Nice! Kodiak Brown was my next choice but they only had it 5.0.
I am getting old, I love my tailgate step!

The left side quarter has a very slight long scratch along the side. Almost like something very lightly got dragged across it. I'm hoping it will be a quick buff to get it out. From what I can tell this truck moved around a little - googling the VIN pulls up a youtube video from a dealer in another state with a little commercial on it. The scratch might have happened in transit or something.

This is probably a question for the main forum, but I'm having second thoughts on the bed liner. I'm hoping to put a folding tonneau on this (bakflip or similar) and now I'm thinking something more reversable like the bedrug might be a better idea. Other than mountain bikes, camping gear and home remodeling type materials that's all this bed is going to see. No piles of cinderblocks or anything too nasty. A guy in my office said he'd never but a spray in liner in his truck again after his has weathered badly and gets on your hands if you touch it. I've already paid for the spray in liner but I'm hoping they can apply that to the bedrug which ford sells as an accessory. Thoughts?

Depends on the liner. But that happens due to uv degradation. So if you put a tonneau on it anyways you should be good to go. The people that have be drugs love them though.

Although I do love the mirrors, I just had one get damaged by a car wash. Not happy, but they filled out the paperwork and said a manager would call in a few days. I broke in the truck in the most appropriate way this weekend however: A snowy fishing trip in the mountains!
