These are made in Italy. Been thinking about brakes, and thought I had enough till next spring, but upon further inspection, the pads are wearing thin. New brakes will go on with winter tire swap.
Anyway, been doin some research, and was close to ordering up the Powerstop Z36 package, since that's the go to set up for us that tow/haul.
But my drum beats different than most and I like to test stuff out, as well as wanting to keep stock appearance.
Hence I got these AC Delco Police package rotors (made by Raybestos). Some aspects of these rotors are Noise dampening Iron, high carbon content, specially designed cooling veins. They also have what they call, a Polymer surface coating over the whole surface (silver).
ACDelco p/n is 18A2461PV, Raybestos p/n is 680508P. Both are the same rotor in different box.
As for pads, I did not want the police pads, as apparently they only work well when up to temp. I need something that works when cold as well. So I decided to try the newly released Wagner OEX1414 pads, which are a hybrid material pad, including ceramic, kevlar, graphite and carbon. Wagner used the F150 as a development vehicle for these pads.
I will post up an initial review of these sometime after the snow flies (when I install them).
