Where on earth does the block heater go?

I received a block heater as a gift.

The instruction that came with it are hopelessly useless, but the mfg's webpage indicates it is the right model my truck (2013 EB 4x4 crewcab).
I have seen suggestions that the plug it replaces is on the passenger side of the block toward the rear and that it is on the front of the block,
but I can't find anything that looks like the right place.

Can anyone definitively tell me where this goes? And what the plug I'm replacing looks like?

Thanks!

There are two types that I'm aware of.
My truck came with one that plugs into the thermostat housing, but was replaced with one that threads into a frost plug in the block near the drivers side turbo.

Min was installed by the dealer as part of the TSB that deals with fuel in the oil. They had to remove the turbo to get at it.

The eco post uses a element on the front of the engine in the water pump, that kit is for the 3.5 nt or 5.0. The plug on the side of the block that it goes to is behind the oil line, can be done but not as easy. Oil line will have to be moved and even then clearance is an issue.
