I started out with a new 2014 FX4 Screw luxury pack in Blue flame. 7200# GVW, 3:55's. Pretty much all options other than Max tow and Apperance pack. Built in November of 2014 and I bought it March of 2015.

Bought the truck from family that work at a dealer, great deal as I was able to get it for less than used. Downside is it was 600miles away. Thankfully, my Uncle delivered it for me.

I had them put 3M on the bumper and do a Spray in liner. They did a great job with both.
Window Sticker

Day I got it.

I already had a 2" AS level for it that I put in a couple of days later
Before

After

The kit came with a 3" rear block, but I figured it would put too much rake back in for my taste.
on level ground, it measures perfectly level. I would have liked a bit of rake, but I address that later on...much later.

Also, I wouldnt doubt if that increased fuel pressure is also aiding in combustion and thus reducing knock. This thing is an animal. Never did I think I'd allow 18* on pump gas for a Gen1 Eco.

Hats off to both Ryan's for letting me be part of this.

That’s a very good point. We are pushing 25% more fuel pressure than we could with the stock pump

I took the day off to get a couple things done on the truck.

New OEM windshield installed
Front window re-tinted
Installed a ethanol gauge to do some experimenting with. Hoping that I can get the sensor installed early next week. Still need the right adapter.

DId you watch the people do it? Hopefully you didnt have the debacle like I did. Even with a hand tool, the paint under the windshield is damaged, they have to put this primer epoxy on the scrapes with a brush before reinstalling window otherwise it will rust.

In my cause it was just all fucked, makes me mad thinking about it. Had to use touch up paint all on upside edge and a pillers, I think I showed some pics in my thread.

BTW-can multi quote on here like other forums or am I not seeing it? I had to post three times now, lol.

So I went to a local wrecker yesterday in hopes of finding a new dash vent (my boy broke it pulling on a phone mount). No luck on the vent, BUT there was a 2018 lariat that just came in and had Sync 3 in it. I decided to ask how much they would want and they said $250!!!!! I had to grab it for that price. They said they will have the screen and APIM pulled on Monday for me to pick up.

I know I’ll have a few other small things to grab for the upgrade, but pretty stoked to finally be able to do Sync 3 for a crazy cheap price.

That's my only gripe with my 2012 is having the crappy MFT. My only option is pretty much change the radio or do a navtool

You got a steal on that sync3! I have something in the works with a junkyard for something sweet too [emoji51]

You have to change the USB and also GPS too FYI. Leave the sync 2 gps in place for the the direction to work on LCD and new GPS works on sync 3.

There is also a lot of codes to change in FORscan.

If anyone is interested, I can still guide you to someone who will assemble everything for you and write all the code for you for pretty good deal compared to others online!

Thank you, I have the antenna on order, but I did forget about the USB.

Probably be a few weeks before Incan get it installed.

Thankfully I already have all the code changes I need for Forscan to get it configured properly

So when do we get to see this thing on the dyno?

#997 ·
Well, since I spent my Dyno money on a Sync 3 system, I don't know. I'm going to get my GT's up for sale, AFE intake and a few small things to see if I can fund it. $200 a trip and a Wife on Maternity leave, means I gotta be careful with the spending.

Sounds like a lot of good problems to have :)

Man that is such a great looking truck! This is how clean I want my truck to look [emoji51]You have the RCI skid plates too right? What's your mpg starting to look like?

I was thinking of getting the RCI skids and get a pair of sliders from chassis unlimited. Did you notice any difference in driving habits?

Oh you KNOW I like this strategy!

Although I admit to being lazy in the dog days of summer down here and have been running my BIG tires when I should be scooting on the street shoes.

I'd be more incentivized if the dang truck didn't spool the heavies so well. :)

That truck is going to be such a sleeper! That color looks awesome on the wheels and with the blue it's going to look so gooooooooood!

Warning: They WILL look too small to YOUR eyes after being so used to the current macho stance.

You have to look away as you get in the truck for awhile. Lol

Use the tuner to update the tire size. Start her up. Get it warm. Then....... Oh my, this thing was bleeding THAT much power loss wearing them big boots?

It's just physics.

By the way, as wierd as it will look to you, you'll get compliments on the truck with the low profile look. It's just a different group that suddenly likes your truck that didn't before. ;)

Tires should be mounted up by tomorrow. I doubt the "street' look will really fit with the truck, but they will serve their purpose nicely.
I bought a pair of kicker components for the front doors some time ago and decided to at least get the speakers done at the same time I do the Sync 3 upgrade.

I found a new set of KST25 Tweeters for the A pillars, CS 3.5" for the center speaker and two-way 6x8 CS Kickers for the rear doors. This should work nicely with the stock deck and leave me room to amplify in the future if I ever do it.

Let's know how it sounds! I'm wanting to replace the factory speakers in my truck with a nice upgrade so hoping you'll have good results [emoji51]
