What were instruction provided for break in? IN the other thread they were holding revs (which is common).

What injectors and HPFP are you using?
Ryan and I discussed as I am familiar with break-in procedures and he was happy with my plans.

I did have the revs held up for some time before the video. As I was by myself, I wanted to idle it for half a minute while checking for leaks and listening for any oddities.

Once driving, it will be put under a series of load variations and RPM variations. The key is to not let it idle or go for extended periods at cruising RPMs before break-in is complete.

I plan on changing the oil at

25 miles/30 minutes
then after another 250 miles
then after another 500 miles
then after another 1,500 miles

I'll switch to full synthetic after the motor has 3500-4000 miles on it.

I am running stock injectors and a xdi-35 HPFP with a modified cam lobe for some additional lift.

Holding revs a a certain rpm ie 2000 was for old flat tappet engines with solid or hydraulic lifters to wear in properly. Not needed on modern engines at all.

Varying rpm to seat rings well is all that's needed.

The idea in getting the RPM's up, even while in Park is to add some load to the rings to help them seat. Don't let a brand new engine idle for very long.

Got enough time on it for the first oil change. I'll cut open the filter and check things out. So far, so good. No leaks and I gotta say, the FR radiator is one awesome piece. One great benefit is the rad having it's own cap, I didn't have to mess around getting air out of the system. Open the cap up, fill and your pretty much done. The amount of top up, was less than a liter.

Catch can and return fuel system are just waiting on a couple of fittings that are in the mail. Hopefully, I can tie them up by next weekend as I'm back on the road for next week.

Oil Change done and out for another drive. The Fumoto Valve and remote mount filter are wicked awesome. Should have done the remote mount a long time ago!

Played with FORScan a bit today. First time and it is pretty straight forward. Now I'm really itching to do the SYNC 3 conversion, but have to find the codes I need to make it work.

I did...
Bambi Mod
Nav use while moving
Turn signals "4" flashes instead of three
Disabled TPMS (Don't have them in these wheels yet)
Added Compass to Instrument Cluster.

300 miles on the new motor now. Just did the second oil change and things are looking great.

I have a few tweaks that need to be done with the tune, but we haven't even really started with that yet.

Just did a few small pulls and it's hitting airflow that is equal to about 600hp at the crank. gotta love the cold weather.

Glad to see somebody’s build is actually going well with a built motor [emoji23]

Just like the other threads. It’s stuck on the last post of a page. It’s like it won’t update a new page. Same here. Post 560.

Now that I posted a post it let me see the next 10 posts. Funny thing is I already read those 10 post. In fact I posted one comment in those 10. I can see to 570 now.

Edit. Now I posted again and I can see them all. But look at the post numbers. 570 jumps to 596?
also I’ve already see all these posts up to 596.

It's pretty weird. I cleared my cache and now I can see all the posts. I haven't checked via Tapatalk at all.
