Yup, I did the fog light DRL mod. I have the Morimoto XB LED fog lights so it seemed appropriate.

Bambi mod is good.

I added a compass to the gauges in the gauge cluster screen. That blank screen is still there but it added the compass in addition to the trans temp and awd distribution screen.

The software itself is free. You gotta buy an obd adapter to connect to your pc. I you have a 2015+ then you gotta make sure you get one that has MS and HS Can bus capability.

I have an OBDLink LX that did not work fully with a 2016. I also have the OBDLink MX+ which do work.

Has anyone figured out a trick to get different tire sizes on the menu on this? I've been through the drop down menu and it doesn't have my size listed, and my speedo is off by a couple mph. Since my truck is in the garage for the week since I dont work, I can do a bit more to it. I searched this and couldn't find anything.

Additionally, I use a really cheap Wifi OBD2 adapter with Forscan on mine. For the people asking which works.

I was under the impression that the tire size in the BCM was overridden by the PCM anyways so changing it in forscan didn’t do anything.

Alright. So I wait to fix that when I get a tuner then. Thanks guys.

Us guys with the 11`-14` F150 XLT's & 1st Gen Sync have slim pickens....I've come to find out after tinkering with it all day.
Still, the Bambi Mode and I think..... DLR w/Fog Lamps (fingers crossed) is worth the cost of the OBDII.
Makes me wish I had the 15`+ Sync 2 or 3....tons of adjustments to be made their.

What other changes can be made with sync 2 and 3? I am waiting for someone to be able to modify the LCD between the gauges that the higher end models have.

Trucks with the navigation screen can change up the screen theme; add gauges to drivers display screen, show heated & cooled seats display, etc.
Again, the more options your truck comes with the more hidden features come to the forefront.

What added gauges are you talking about that are available to add? And you're referring to adding them on LCD screen between the gauges? I still have not messed with Forscan but it is on my list. Not much use for it right now.

Bambi & DLR work like a champ!
Hopefully I can activate the spub/Kicker plug & play harness within the rear crew drivers door area....
Still, well worth it.....truck is feeling a bit anxious-lol

The one that I found interesting, was the number of "flashes" your turn signal makes if you just touch it (for lane changes on the freeway). 3 is default.

I found 3 to be a bit short for lane changes. For my driving, 5 seems to be a better number for the lane-change turn signal option.

Lol, i bet that was taken in Utah. They always have hilarious messages on the signs over I-80 and I-15.

Just upgraded to the OBDlink mx. I was using a cheap generic HS-can only adapter for a few years mainly for torque pro. Read speeds are much better now.

As for Forscan, i just changed soft signal flash from 3 to 4. personally I'm not a fan of the Bambi mod, hurts your long range night vision.

The hyperflash mod is a great one to do if you added LED turn bulbs.

I found the fog's were boarderline useless with the factory HID's anyways. I upgraded to Morimoto XBLed foglights after installing them on my Jeep and being impressed. They didnt have as much effect on my truck.

The one thing I will say is that fogs light up the sides of the road much better and have helped me spot some deer I may not have. I have had a few close calls lately.

I am very surprised in the difference in my XLT when I turned on the Sub/Kicker harness.
I have the stock radio setup....but last year I replaced all door speakers with the Kicker 6x8's thinking I would get a huge difference in sound quality-didnt happen.
Now, their is total separation from the tweets to main speakers...meaning the sound is pretty darn good for slight upgrade.
I don't have the Kicker Sub yet but that's coming!
Very happy with Forscan!
I also changed up my turn signals [emoji106]

I just installed the kicker sub yesterday but don't have a way of turning it on yet besides berge Ford. I have the 7 speakers in my 17 xlt and have read good things about the changes that happen when you activate the sub harness.

You can adjust tire size in Forscan in one of the modules and you cannot add gauges but you can display the actual numbers over water & trans temps.
On one of the other forums a user started and maintains an awesome list of changes and there are several tire sizes listed in his spreadsheet.

Like on this. I may have searched over on another forum for this, but great spread sheets. Nice calculator to get your tire size to a hex value too. Will check against a GPS speedo tomorrow. Thanks for making me look :)

I’ve looked around a bit but don’t see this adapter discussed. Wondering if anyone is using the FORSCAN LITE with their iOS or Android device along with the OHP ELM327 OBD2 WiFi adapter (pictured below)? When it comes to FORSCAN LITE how LITE is LITE? I’m thinking you have to be giving up something. I can potentially see dropped signals or incoming calls being an issue using WiFi connection but maybe it’s better than I’d suspect. It would be great to use an Android Phone or iPad Pro via WiFi as opposed to pulling a much larger Windows machine out. If I could do this I’d be a happy camper. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.

I wouldn't see a problem with that adapter. I'm using a dirt cheap generic Wifi adapter and it works fine. I use the IOS and Android version of Forscan Lite. By Lite they mean you can't enable stuff in there like the Windows version. No changes like that. Mainly DTC, logs of perameters, gauges, that kind of stuff. Functionality between IOS and Android is the same. Same look and everything. I use an Android 7" tab with mine so it doesn't take up my phone. Usually when driving I have my phone on my stereo using Carplay, so the tab is a necessity. Hope this helps.

Can’t see where it is printed but I’m wondering if this is also Windows compatible.

Google any model number on that and see if you can get any kind of manual for that. I'd want to make sure of what that is.

I actually thought of this. Neither Amazon or OHP Tools list a model number for this. I thought that they might have a comparison chart to see how it stacks up to their dongle model. I did however find a PDF for it. It does not specifically say that it works with Windows OS but does specify that missing config files are to be added via a Windows machine. I’m still looking.

EDIT: Found another similar wireless model on Amazon. It does indeed support iOS, Android and Windows. So... I’m spit balling here but I’m thinking you can monitor via iOS and Android and modify using Windows???

Im not sure, but it makes sense, and if I were to guess, i'd say that's correct.

Played with Forscan for the first time tonight. Pretty happy with the few changes I wanted to make.

- Nav enabled while moving (setting destination, etc.)
- Turned off hyper flash for the turn signals (Now I can finally put in the front LED bulbs
- Bambi mode
- Turned off TPMS (don't have them in my new wheels yet)
- Turn signal tap to 4 flashes from 3

I may try enabling the equalizer on my Sync 2, but can't think of much else I would do.

I forgot about the TPMS (for my separately mounted snow tires). That was the primary reason for getting Forscan. Tired of the warning during winter when I have my snow tires installed.

Also, I prefer having my driving lights as my DRLs. Amber signals are just not noticeable enough and I don't like "burning out" my headlights sooner than necessary. Driving light bulbs are cheaper and easier to replace.

Changing values for the tire size does not seem to work. After 4 different tries, no change from OBD2 speed and GPS. I'm at 74.7 and OBD says 71. I guess there's limits to what Forscan is capable of.

I remember reading that if the BCM and PCM don’t have the same tire size it will error and revert to the PCM setting which would be your OEM tire size unless you have a actual tuner. No personal experience using FORScan for tire size since I use my Livewire TS for that adjustment.

Not sure if you mean at the same time, or not. But my cheap Wifi one works on Iphone X with Forscan, Windows 10 laptop with forscan, and 7" cheap Android Tablet with Torque pro, and forscan. Have only tried one at a time, but when I drive it again tomorrow, i'll see if it works 2 at a time.

This is only my adapter, maybe there is one made that does more than one at a time. Additional note, my Idatalink is hard wired into the OBD2 also while using these apps, which shouldn't matter. This is used for my TPMS, etc on the stereo head unit.

FORScan lite shows a lot more PID's then Torque Pro. Not to say torque cant display them, they just arnt mapped in.

Example, battery state of charge and amperage readings.

I use Torque Pro 100% of the time while driving for general PID monitoring (KR, OAR, temps, boost, etc.). I find it's UI for custom gauge display the best.

I use FORScan lite for diagnostics as you can pretty much pull up any sensor on the vehicle.

Forscan is a helpful tool to have.
I knew I had a problem with my HVAC.
Fault code>B1086 popped up...Air Distribution Damper Motor. Fault circuit to ground>toast.
Really just a confirmation for me.
YouTubed a bunch of videos on the fix....
Going to the Dentist looks like a better option than performing this repair.
Better me than having Ford charge me over $350+ to repair, especially when I'm sure the part itself is around $35.
I'm going for pulling the front dash/radio area slightly apart/entering through glove box as well....but that little module is a PITA to get at.
Motivating factor...... it would be nice having the dash defrost work rather than all vents blowing at the same time!
