Gen 1 vs Gen 2 Ecoboost Differences?

technically the gen 2 is the new 2017+

The 15 just have tid bits addressed that were problems, like trying to fix intercooler condensation with the new design and flaps. The engine is the same though and turbos are too as far as I know.

Thanks. Sounds like it is safe to assume they are just as susceptible to the same issues as the 11-14's. What other minor changes were made in an attempt to address known problems? I can't find any hard info on the internet as surprising as that may be.
The 13+ are reliable. The only thing I can think of about the 15 that is changed, is after May?(whenever the recall) there is a new timing chain. The timing chain has been updated a few times, the 14 has a updated chain vs earlier models too.

All you need to do is two things, add a catch can on any eco, run good oil and that's it. It will be great. Besides that, change plugs and other fluids as general maintenance.

The 17+ (which is gen 2 eco) have some even better bearings and rods and what not. Part of this is due to auto start/stop. Watch the tough lane truck video, the engineers answer questions.
