87 octane tune and stock 3.73 gears. No tuning, in stock form besides the Fox shocks I over loaded her with pulling 12,000lbs of stone when I first got her so these trucks are getting into the 3/4 ton area. Thanks
I sold mine due to the shudder issue but yes, these trucks can pull some loads that are meant for the bigger boys! Just wish mine didn't have the shudder or I would still be driving it....my new Ram can pull a bit more but doesn't seem t pull the trailer any better than the F150 did.....Trailer weight is 8800 empty and 10,500 loaded. Pin weight was light at 1250lbs (empty).....

We will miss you here. How do you like your Open Range? I've been looking at them, and they look quite nice.

I will still be around....I guess that officially makes me troll since I don't have an F150 anymore :) I lover the Open Range. great quality for a mid range trailer and so far has only had 1 or minor issues and their 2 year warranty is the best.......If considering one, i would give my recommendation.

Open Range 308 BHS..you can find it on the link posted by Heavysledz
Is that really an 8700 pound trailer? If so how does the Ecoboost do towing it? I almost bought an Ecoboost yesterday but wasn't sure how it would handle the 8068 dry weight 32BHDS Salem I have. Would be interested in any feedback you have on the towing performance.

I currently tow it with a Ram 2500 but really don't like the Ram. My current F150 can tow it but I wouldn't want to go too far with it. My towing capacity is only 9400 and I would estimate we are at about 9000 pounds when setting off to camp.

I pulled almost 10,000 pounds of buffelgrass seed and enclosed trailer for 240 miles and the truck acted like it didn't even know it was there. Except for bumps in the road and all that. Motorwise it was awesome.

davva360,

Yeah it's actually 8815 lb dry which surprised me when I picked it up. We go out about 9500 loaded. My Eco is the max tow which I believe rates 11000 ish. I had a short bed Eco without max tow before and for me personally it was way too much trailer so I switched trucks. I also run LT tires and airbags as my tongue weight is well over 1000 lbs. The tires made a big difference. I pulled almost 3000 miles this summer and it doesn't lack power but it likes gas and on windy days I wish it was heavier.. It pulls very well without working hard, but the light weight of the truck gives me problems sometimes. That's its biggest weakness in my opinion.. We looked at the 32BHDS also, nice trailer
