14 is exceptionally bad unless you are driving 85 mph or driving up the side of Mt. Everest. On a bad day I'll see 17 when it is near zero and driving into a 20+ mph wind.

Wife’s 5.0 is about the same and way less power.

My 13 would get about 14-16 going 75 down the freeway. 60 would get me 20+

I've not gotten eco friendly mpg's. Highway speeds are usually 5mph above posted and around here that's 75-80. If I get 14 I'm lucky. Keeping it under 70 does help a bit but nothing I'd ever call great.

The only time I ever got great was when I followed my daughter's bus on a field trip. What would have been a 2.5hr drive was about 3hrs. I pretty much used the draft at 60mph and got around 25.

I got 14mpg last week doing and average of 65mph into a NW wind gusting to 40mph. That was ugly. Averaging 17mpg right now with temperatures well under 0F.

any suggestions to improve the mpg. im a very conseritive driver
Buy a car with a better mpg rating. Cars are usually better mpg than the cinder block shaped trucks.

Have you checked or changed your plugs or air filter lately ;)
I was getting poor mileage all winter on my 2012 3.5 and thought it was the winter fuel. I ran a bottle of the Red Line complete fuel system cleaner (1 bottle for 20 gals) and saw improvements after that tank full.

The "conservative driver" thing I think just does not work well on Ecoboost engines. Too much time lugging around at low RPM just increases the time spent in boost. Don't be afraid to use the +- on the shifter to stay well above idle RPM. KM

That's what I thought from everything I read. I was shifting to lower a lower gear and not letting it bog down but then I just stopped and the mileage went up. This was even before I ran the Red Line cleaner.
What is really interesting is if I do between 75-80mph my fuel mileage goes down. But if I run near 85mph my mileage goes up on long trips, not recommended in Michigan ;) For the city driving I just quit shifting. My 2012 3.5 has 140,000 miles on it and has never been touch internally knock on wood!!!!! lol

Great Avitar, Trapper! Been back and forth over "The Mac" quite often.
I have a 2.7 RCSB 2wd, so quite light weigh. Countering that, is a leveled front and a tire size from stock 245 to 275-70-17's, a 3.73 gear, tuned. Been using Sport mode since new 2017, and have always used the gear lock out, to keep RPM's around 2000. I May be 73+ but still enjoy aggressive driving. My wife and I enjoy long road trips out west so lots of mountains and 80 MPH+ highways. Our last trip encompassed 6000 WI-Phoenix-Cody-Deadwood-WI,

I have exceeded 27 MPG on some mid-west trips. KM

My mileage has yet to move out of winter results. Still in the 15-16 mpg range when scooting around town.
Hoping some warmer mornings (less deep cold starts) will move me back closer to 20 mpg soon

Green is Eco mode on a Powerboost.
Is it the same on the standard 3.5?

I ask because at freeway/interstate speed I'm not sure it would be distinguishable from Normal mode.

Regardless, it's amazing what that Gen3 3.5 Ecoboost is capable of.

You missed the leaf on the bottom left! Yes, green is eco in the standard 3.5. Mixed freeway, highway, stop signs, 5 towns there and 5 back. Pretty crazy what these gen 3's can do. They really stay out of the boost until you want it.
