Just watched a video and the engine will not have a oil level dipstick.

Saw that a couple weeks ago and forgot to mention it here. Strictly relying on electrical sensors. Dodge is great with electrical...🤣

Looks like the tuning has a little issue with boost surge down low. And instead of the throttle plate closing up smoothly and controlling boost its overreacting and tanking the torque

And forums suggest they won’t stop throwing codes. Usually for misfires but no shortage of other issues. And dealers are neither provided nor receiving much help.

Some sort of ugly going on there. Throttle plate, BOV, waste gates, fuel. There definitely looks like some tuning needs to be done.

Side note on the fast 0-60 times. In the testing I've seen done the truck had 3.92 rear gears. Wonder if the early magazine reviews got a special tuned version as well. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened. Definitely wouldn't put it past Dodge to do that when they're replacing the hemi with this.

The 8 speed transmission has a super deep 1st gear too. I think it 5:1 vs 4.71:1 for the ford 10 speed.

So between the 1st gear and the 3.92's, they probably do launch pretty hard in 4x4

I guess I'll just need to get a mild AO tune for my 21 and not have to worry about the 3.0, or the HO

So TFL did a 0-60 test on ram hurricane and f150.
Horrible comparison, the f150 did like 7 seconds and the ram did like 6. Something. I laughed at it then got mad because my truck did 5.7 seconds completely stock in Denver as well. So just goes to show that Andre didn’t launch properly. It’s reflected in the 60’ times they both got.

Somehow motortrend almost always manages to get the fastest 0-60, 1/4 mile times. 5 seconds flat for the ram and 13.7 at 98mph in the quarter are very impressive numbers. Almost too impressive...

Yeah, I’ve seen this exact thing with my 2.7 when I was on the dyno before. Torque shot up then dipped hard then back up. Should have been almost 550 ftlbs

Anyways, my comment on that video is, look at the wheel differences, the f150 had upgraded wheels and tires. Also, what fuel were they on? 93 or even e20 in the ford would have yielded almost 400 at the wheels and usually these 21+ 3.5s will put down about 500 ftlbs of torque on dynos from what ive seen if they are on good fuel and oem wheels and tires.

That is a whole bunch of bull. Embellishment galore. Let’s race on the street and see. One guy I know at sea level got 5.2 seconds with his stock 2022 3.5L

Something the hurricane doesn’t have is upgraded turbo options right now, so all us ford guys are not scared in the slightest.

If they're already topped out at 26 psi in this dyno then that's pretty pathetic. A 3.5 Tuned would absolutely destroy this thing.

Hilarious dodge dumped the TRX for this thing

I mean Gen 1 2.7s dyno better with just a tune and 93

Andre's launch was atrocious.

When they tested the GMC Denali, Ford Powerboost and Ram Tungsten with the HO, the Powerboost was only a 10th or two slower than the HO 0-60 at sea level. That would have been 3.73's and 3.92's

I asked this in the comments since they seemed like they were responding, but no one answered.

This is the SO which I think hits 22 psi. That makes sense considering its only a 3.0L.

I imagine the HO version would make ~450whp if this dyno is an indication.
