I have a 2013 screw. It has just over 81,000 miles on it. I’m original owner. I changed the oil at the end of may with 78,000 miles. I did not notice anything out of the ordinary. Since then I have towed my travel trailer camping a few times. I only had about 2700 miles on my oil change, but due to the towing and hill driving and plans of another camping trip and a few road trips in the next couple weeks, I op d to do another oil change last Friday. This time I noticed oil at the bottom of bell housing some drips hanging, but nothing on the concrete where I park. I completed oils change and cleaned the area real good so I could watch the leak. I never noticed a change in oil level so it can’t be too bad.
I headed out of town for the day Saturday. I periodically checked the spot and never noticed anything. crawled under Sunday afternoon and did t see anything. I had put just about 400 miles on since Friday. Went to work today and checked when I got home. There is some oil.
Is this signs of rear main or something else? Trans? Seamed more like engine oil. Rough estimate from ford garage is $1400 for just labor but couldn’t quote parts at the moment. Does this seem about normal?
I will continue to monitor the area and check oil level.
has anyone experienced this? Should I make an appointment ASAP or do I have some time? I know guys that have just lived with it on other vehicles and just added oil as needed.
