What do YOU use to clean your wheels/tires?

I'm interested to see what everyone uses. Be sure to let us know what type of wheels and finish you have.

I have the black fx4 rims. Honestly just a pressure washer then a micro-fibre cloth to wipe it off.

For the tires I scrub them with a rough sponge. Helps blacken them up. If I want it to look really nice then I will use black magic. But rub it off good as any dust will cling to the tires and look like crap.

I've been using chemical guys products lately, the Allclean works well for tires for me, then dress them with their silkshine.

I haven't tried their wheel cleaning products yet though, the allclean didn't work so well on the wheels, left water spots.

Bleach white tire cleaner. Any chrome polish works on the rims.
lots of products for dressing the tires but the heavy oily ones tend to attract dirt and grime. I stick with a product that's thin and dries but as mentioned wipe excess off.
if possible I will apply tire dressing in the evening and let it sit on the tires overnight.

I second the BleachWhite. That'll clean all kinds of crap off of tires. There are many pine trees where I am at and somehow I seem to get sap on my tires monthly, bleachwhite is one of the only products I know that takes that crap off. Then black magic wet tire shine after that.

I'll second the Chemical Guys. I have my wheels plasti-dipped and using just the Honeydew Snow foam soap with my foam cannon and a light brush seemed to work really good (along with the power washer to rinse). I bought their Diablo gel wheel and rim cleaner as well as their signature series wheel cleaner but did so during winter so I haven't had a chance to try them out. I also have their hyper coat, Silk Shine, and their VRP Super shine dressings. Again haven't tried them out yet, but I will be soon.

Silk Shine is awesome, I use it on all the exterior black trim, interior, under the hood, and the tires. Not too shiny, doesn't attract dust and dirt, no greasy residue and it lasts and lasts. I also used bare bones on the undercarriage, suspension and frame rails and axle, made the bottom of the truck look like brand new. Chemical guys has some good stuff for sure.

I'm gonna try some of the waterless car foam can stuff I have laying around (can't remember the brand name) to clean the wheels. Supposedly it will keep brake dust from sticking to the wheels also.

Adam's wheel cleaner for any type wheels and Adam's all purpose cleaner and a scrub brush for the tires. Adam's VRT is the best tire dressing I have found. It also works great for plastic trim.

Clean wheels with Sonax full effect and a flexable non scratch brush to get inside.

The front of the rim in my case is painted, so dumb, so ill use microfiber to touch it.

Tires I will put Megs gel on, let sit and then wipe dry. Always use less tire shine as possible and wipe dry so you don't sling all down side.

Just tried out the Chemical Guys Diablo wheel and tire cleaner then followed it with their G6 coating. First pic is after Diablo. Second is coated. Only complaint I have is the cheap brush I used left small fibers on my plasti-dip. Putting the G6 on with a microfiber got rid of most of them. The Diablo worked great and super easy.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and Armorall All Wheel Protectant. Really helps keep the brake dust off.

I like a natural rubber looking finish. Don't really like that glossy look. I use Surf City Garage's beyond black. Goes on looking wet but dries to a nice black with no gloss. I think it's some awesome stuff.

This is a thread that I made about my ugly brake dust. After using the suggested Magic eraser they look new again. The wheel protectant lasted a good 5,000 miles. just cleaned them again and sprayed more on.

I used SOS pads on the tires. They cleaned the white lettering really well.
Wow I have not heard of SOS being used in years. Seriously get some bleach white and a scrub brush, you will do the same job in a fraction of the time and get the tires a lot cleaner.

For those of you using tire shine, I would recommend what Voz does and wipe all the excess off after application. Same with using a crap product like armor all on the dash. Yes, it makes the tires shine and look black for a bit, but the way it works is that it pulls 'moisture' out of the tire and causes premature cracking...leading to blown out tires if you have the tires long enough.

These are words DIRECTLY from my personal mechanic that has been working on vehicles for over 20 years.
