There’s also a possibility… I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag yet, especially if it doesn’t come to fruition, but that this truck (my current 2.7L) might get a big upgrade. Depending on the price of things, this may become a “first” ever truck with this possible setup. Anyway, I’ll leave you guys to think about that one. 😂😁

Ok, just a little truck update.

The truck is very fast.

When I was living up in the mountains, the truck was doing 47lb/min with 20-21 psi at 6400 rpm.

Here in Denver it’s doing 48lb/min with 16 psi at 6500 rpm.

Crazy what the elevation does. I’m pretty sure I’d be well over 54 lb/min with 20 psi at 6500 rpm. Not sure I need to go that far though. It’s feeling extremely stout and Torrie hasn’t even begun to increase the timing yet. He’s still messing with the boost curve.

Come on down to sea level and see what happens!
Hahaha yeah

Torrie just emailed me. Says it’s trailing off lean after 6200 rpm. I thought the fuel system can handle E30 just fine!!?

Doesn't the elevation affect that (too) though?

I ran e50 with Boostking successfully, but I'm around sea level.

How would elevation effect fueling?

Way back in the day, the higher you were, the more fuel you wanted...
Hmmm. Well, I am beginning to wonder, if I had stock turbos I probably could run E50 just fine. But….. that’s not the case.

I think it‘s the other way around. At least for me in a carburetor car I had to go to smaller jets to get my car to run right here in Idaho. 3800 ft difference from my California home. Not sure with forced induction and fuel injection how it works.

All things mechanical can be fixed or repaired, for a price. All things mechanical have their limitations. Altitude has its own way of showing some of those limitations.

I am surprised you cant get E30 to perform with no loss.......

I am sure you want to eventually run more than an E30 tune, so are you going with the full fuel system upgrade?
