There's this guy on youtube with a whipple alum body, did 100s of 4x4 drive launches before breaking the transfercase. He is making a lot of power, a lot more than you and I think it only broke because wheel hops. He then put a stock unit in and traction bars.

Ah that makes me feel way better then. As soon as this is broken in I'm taking it to the track to see how it does

The latest trend seems to be blowing up the driveshafts which takes out the motor when it suddenly unloads at WOT.

Which one?

There would be a U joint failure before anything, but that wouldn't damage the engine.

The rubber air directors on the side of the radiator have been torn a while, I plan on replacing them. Common failure on these trucks. One thing I never noticed in all these years is there are flat rubber pieces on the sides of the intercooler too....the reason I noticed these were there is because I could see the ground on the passenger side and never recalled seeing that. I proceeded to look at drive and see the rubber and then It made sense. Hopefully it didn't hit someones car behind me when it went flying off. Will be replacing them all here soon.

Waiting for spring to come around to get mods coming in. Waiting on my floor currently. Stay tuned.

I have some items for sale i need to make a thread for including
-OEM 2014 turbos, ran on AMSOIL since 800 miles. Have 50k on them.
-Motorcraft stainless manifold studs new in Ford bag.
-Original RX catch can system w/ Billet CSS, UPR billet check valves, drilled turbo tube and drilled factory air lid

Just got the latest design turbo blankets. They are one piece, much thicker and look like will provide more coverage. I will put them on with the rest of the stuff in a few months.

Waiting on the Ford parts now on the way, then in a few months, all the parts going in and no more mods, lol.

Any extra vibration from the removed engine mount? ;)

I know most just junk the rubber, but they are not that expensive. A nice thing too, is the new rubber comes with new push pins already installed, so you can save the old ones to use on other stuff! Additionally, there is a 4th rubber piece, it goes behind the air box filter. It is huge. I got it for free by mistake. I have no plans on replacing it, plus it doesnt get hit by the wind etc link these in front do so I do not imagine it is damaged.

Also, here is the new PTP blankets I mentioned a while ago. Hopefully they fit, bc they were designed around the gen2/electric wastegate.

Definitely interested in the blanket fitments. That seems fun.
My rubbers are cracked and I removed some from the passenger side for the FR intake. Thought about getting replacements. My fender liner rubbers are cracked and missing a chunk too, I may look into replacing those soon, if I don;t do new fenders

@DNA Dan

So I posted in here how I got a converter because I think my rear main seal is leaking and it is somewhat "common" on the 3.5. Anyways. Last week I found browsing online that on the 3.5, it will look like a rear main seal leak but will actually be vacuum pump leak for 13+ coming from the head.

I already have new rear main seal, hardware etc. I researched the vacuum pump and found Ford sales the gasket separate from the pump. I decided after seeing the vacuum pump leak online, I would just order the gasket and replace with the rear main seal because the vacuum pump is on back of head between fire wall. If you have to fix, you need to use a mirror and it is really tight. I figured with the trans already out, it will be easy pesy. Anyways, I got the gasket and then last weekend used a mirror and light to look at the vacuum pump, Ill be damned, there is oil all on the bottom of it. So maybe my oil leak from a few pages back is only from the vacuum pump and not rear main seal? Anyways, we will find out and I am going to replace the rear main seal even if it isnt leaking while trans is out anyways I decided.

Part for the vacuum pump gasket is:

DL3Z-2A572-A

It says 15-17 online but my ford guy confirmed it will fit 13 and 14. I can't see a different gasket being made for 15+
